Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, Oregon, Illinois, and Maryland all had great sales in May! Los Angeles initially gave a first-come, first-serve requirement for online dispensary applications and then carelessly allowed people to fill their application early. The city said they would only give 100 permits out. Dispensary applicants sued and the city balked and settled, by doubling the number of new applications accepted to 200! The next round will be in a lottery format. And California officials are trying a new method of cracking down on illicit dispensaries by serving tax warrants.
