In line with Apple’s recent relaxed policies for legal cannabis companies, they are allowing Weedmaps to have in-app purchases. Weedmaps has operated in the App Store for a while as they describe themselves as a software company connecting consumers to licensed sellers. Previously they couldn't take credit cards. I expect other apps to follow.

A Las Vegas police officer fired for having cannabis in his system, had his job reinstated by a judge. Another judge overturned a ruling that had permitted inmates to have cannabis in California jails, citing “common sense.” We think “common sense” means that if it's legal to use cannabis in California for adults, inmates should be able to consume as well, especially given the medical needs that so many prisoners have. Also in California, the FBI arrested the former mayor of Adelanto after accusing him of receiving bribes for cannabis licenses.
