California Governor Gavin Newsome passed a bill making cannabis banking easier for Californian companies along with some labeling changes. We wanted to highlight a tricky Mississippi bill created by legislators and backed by Mississippi doctors’ groups to try to disenfranchise the 81% of Mississippi voters that support medical cannabis. It’s crazy how often politicians are on the wrong side of history when it comes to cannabis. Does THC prevent colon cancer? Well, it does for mice, according to a new study! The study seemed pretty legitimate as the University of South Carolina gave half of the mice placebos... which makes me wonder whether the mice knew they had cancer and were undergoing treatment. Did they hire an actor-mouse to dress as a doctor, wearing a mini lab coat and ask the other mice to consent to the experiment? If not, the mice should sue. :)
