House Democrats pushed the symbolic legalization vote to after the elections as they were afraid of losing conservative voters. An analysis showed that this strategy alienated the majority of their supporters and cost them seats. When will these politicians and their consultants learn that the public wants legalized cannabis? Due to COVID, California is on the verge of forcing essential dispensaries to only have 20% capacity, which would hurt sales. And a survey showed that not only have people been replacing alcohol with cannabis during the pandemic but parents with kids at home are even more likely to get high than nonparents. I guess If little Timmy is running around the house with crayons during his Zoom kindergarten class, Mom would prefer to be stoned. For the record, Purablis does not condone stoned parenting. ☺
