Influential democrats led by Senator Schumer met to strategize how to get legalizing cannabis through the Senate. The New Jersey Governor reduced the penalties for psilocybin considerably. And a study is out that nationally, blacks are 3.6 times more likely to be arrested for cannabis possession than whites! The good news is that while legalization doesn't fix things, there does seem to be less of a disparity in the more cannabis-friendly legacy states of Oregon, Colorado, and California. I hope this trend continues as law enforcement is forced to accept cannabis.
