Humboldt County is considering a permanent ban on hemp cultivation against the wishes of Cal State Humboldt. The 2020 wildfires caused some damage to hemp but a recent report states how hemp oil was largely unhurt. Florida may put together a program to provide hemp fiber processing for textiles! This is sorely needed as the US can become a player in this global market and hemp farmers can diversify.
