The NFL will study cannabis and CBD treatments for pain, hopefully reducing team-prescribed opioid use. The NFL’s new policy imposes fines with no suspensions for cannabis use while cannabis use is permissible in the MLB, NBA and the UFC. Oh, how things have changed in professional sports!

While lawmakers used to battle cannabis bills before they made it to the ballot, it seems that the new strategy for cannabis haters is to fight the bills AFTER public approval. This can be seen in Mississippi, Montana and South Dakota. And a bill was introduced to decriminalize psychedelics in California. Activists will also be gathering signatures to put the issue on California's 2022 ballot.
